     He migrated to Utah in the company led by his father Archibald Gardner.4 Neil Gardner appeared on the 1850 Federal census of Utah Territory in the household of his parents Archibald Gardner and Margaret Livingston.5 Neil Gardner appeared on the 1860 Federal census of Spanish Fork, Utah Territory, in the household of his parents Archibald Gardner and Margaret Livingston.6 Neil Gardner and Ingeborg Regina Evensen appeared on the 1870 Federal census of Spanish Fork, Utah Territory, enumerated 1 August 1870. Their children Neil Livingston and Margaret were listed as living with them.7 Neil Gardner and Ingeborg Regina Evensen appeared on the 1880 Federal census of Spanish Fork, Utah County, Utah Territory, enumerated 8 June 1880. Their children Neil Livingston, Margaret, Brigham Evenson, Ida Regina, Annie, Delia Rebecca and Ellen Janet were listed as living with them. His brothers and sister Syrenus, Serena and Henry were also in the household. Neil was a miller.8 Neil Gardner appeared on the 1900 Federal census of Spanish Fork, Utah County, Utah, enumerated 11 June 1900. His children Margaret, Annie, Delia Rebecca, Sarah Edna and Effie Estella were listed as living with him.9
