     Anne Cleare was born date unknown in Essex, England. She was the daughter of Nicholas and Ann Cleare.¹ She married Edmund Sherman , son of Henry Sherman and Agnes Butler, on 11 September 1584 in Dedham, Essex, England.¹ Anne Cleare died before 12 January 1609 in Dedham, Essex, England.¹
     Anne was also known as Clark.² Her will was proved/probated on 12 January 1609.¹

     Henry Sherman was born circa 1520 in Yaxley, Suffolk, England.² He was the son of Thomas Sherman and Jane Waller.² Henry Sherman married as his first wife Agnes Butler before 1540.^1,3 Henry Sherman married as his second wife Margry Wilson on 1 June 1582.⁴ Henry Sherman died in 1589 in Colchester, Essex, England.^2,1

     Agnes Butler was born in 1521 in Dedham, Essex, England.^1,2 She married Henry Sherman, son of Thomas Sherman and Jane Waller, before 1540.^3,4 Agnes Butler died before 14 October 1580 in Colchester, Essex, England.¹ She was buried on 14 October 1580 in Dedham, Essex, England.³
     Agnes was also known as Butter.

Compiler's note: Many on-line genealogies show Agnes Butter married to both Henry Rolfe and Henry Sherman. That Agnes, daughter of Thomas was married to Henry Rolfe seems clear based on Thomas' reference to his daughter Agnes Rolfe in his will dated 20 Aug. 1555. A marriage to Henry Sherman for the same woman seems unlikely as the birthdates of the Sherman and Rolfe children overlap. That the women were related is likely, because Henry Sherman was an executor of Thomas Butter's will. It is possible that there was only one Agnes, but I have not seen a chronology that makes this possible.⁵

     Anne Pelatt was born between 1545 and 1552 in England.² She married Edmund Sherman, son of Henry Sherman and Agnes Butler, on 25 April 1569.^1,3 Anne Pelatt died before 8 June 1584 in Dedham, Essex, England.²

     Thomas Sherman was born in 1489 in England. He was the son of John and Agnes (Fuller) Sherman.^1,2,3 He married Jane Waller before 1520.¹ Thomas Sherman died after 20 January 1551 in Yaxley, Suffolk, England.¹

     Jane Waller was born in 1495 in Wortham, Suffolk, England. She was the daughter of John and Margaret (Thoralde) Waller.^1,2 She married Thomas Sherman before 1520.¹ Jane Waller died in 1573 in England.¹

     Hannah Stearns was born before 5 October 1628 in Nayland, Suffolk, England. (an unknown value).^3,2 She was the daughter of Isaac Stearns and Mary Barker.² Hannah Stearns married Henry Freeman, son of Samuel Freeman and Apphia Quick, on 25 December 1650 in Watertown, Massachusetts Bay Colony.^2,4 Hannah Stearns died before 17 June 1656 in Watertown, Massachusetts Bay Colony.⁵ She was buried on 17 June 1656 in Watertown, Massachusetts Bay Colony.²
     She immigrated on the Arabella, arriving 12 June 1630 in Salem, Massachusetts Bay Colony, now Essex County, with her parents Isaac Stearns and Mary Barker.⁶

     Mary Launce was born in 1620 in England. She was the daughter of John and Isabella (Darcy) Launce.^2,1 She married Rev. John Sherman , son of Edmund Sherman and Joane (?), in 1645 in Wethersfield, Connecticut Colony, now Hartford County.^1,3 Mary Launce died on 9 March 1710 in Watertown, Connecticut Colony, now Litchfield County.²

     Nathaniel Cook was born on 8 April 1689 in Windsor, Connecticut Colony.¹ He was the son of Nathaniel Cook and Lydia Brooks.¹ Nathaniel Cook married Mary Brooks, daughter of Samuel Brooks and Sarah (?), on 19 February 1717/18 in Windsor, Connecticut Colony.^1,2,3,4 Nathaniel Cook died on 11 January 1751/52 in Amenia, Province of New York, at age 62.^5,3 He was buried in Amenia Burying Ground, Amenia, Province of New York.⁵
     Nathaniel Cook moved to Amenia, Province of New York, in 1750.³

     Mary Brooks was born on 6 February 1699 in Glastonbury, Connecticut Colony.^3,1,2 She was the daughter of Samuel Brooks and Sarah (?).^1,2 Mary Brooks married Nathaniel Cook, son of Nathaniel Cook and Lydia Brooks, on 19 February 1717/18 in Windsor, Connecticut Colony.^4,5,1,6 Mary Brooks died on 4 February 1788 in Amenia, Dutchess County, New York, at age 88.¹ She was buried in Amenia Burying Ground, Amenia, Dutchess County, New York.⁷
     

There was another Mary Brook who married Joshua Moses 28 Jun 1722 in Simsbury. Both marriages are recorded in the vital records, but there is no way to tell to which family each Mary belongs. Both were young women of childbearing age. I am guessing that this Mary belongs to this family, but so far have no proof either way.

     Zechary Herrick was born before 25 December 1636 in Beverly, Massachusetts Bay Colony, now Essex County.¹ He was baptized on 25 December 1636 in Beverly, Massachusetts Bay Colony, now Essex County.¹ He was the son of Henry Herrick and Edith Lasken.² Zechary Herrick married Mary Dodge, daughter of Richard Dodge and Edith (?), in 1653.¹ Zechary Herrick died on 20 May 1695 in Beverly, Province of Massachusetts Bay.¹
     Zechary Herrick and Mary Dodge had eight children.¹
