     Robert Gibson was born on 20 March 1797 in Strabane, Tyrone County, Ireland.2,3 He married as his first wife Jane Adams, daughter of Nathan Adams and Martha Patton, in 1823 in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee.2,3 Robert Gibson married as his second wife Rosanna Adams, daughter of Nathan Adams and Martha Patton, in 1836.2,3 Robert Gibson died on 10 May 1864 in Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana, at age 67.2,3
     He immigrated , arriving 1 January 1817. He left Ireland, sailing from Liverpool and arrived in New York City. He had been apprentised in 1813 to Adams, Scholas & Company, shipping merchants.2 Once he arrived in America, Robert moved to Nashville, TN where he entered the counting house of Crockett & Adams.2 He and Rosanna Adams appeared on the 1850 Federal census of Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee, enumerated 25 September 1850 along with his children Nathan, Joseph, Martha, Robert and Thomas and her mother Martha Patton..4

     He and Grace Stanton appeared on the 1850 Federal census of Haywood County, Tennessee, enumerated 20 November 1850.2 Nathan Adams and Grace Stanton appeared on the 1860 Federal census of Wesley, Haywood County, Tennessee, enumerated 17 June 1860.4 Nathan Adams and Grace Stanton appeared on the 1870 Federal census of District 3, Haywood County, Tennessee, enumerated 18 June 1870.5 Nathan Adams appeared on the 1880 Federal census of Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee, enumerated 7 June 1880. His neices Margaret Colhoun and "Kate Smisen" were also in the household.6

The "History of Davidson County" states Nathan Jr. came with his parents, Nathan and Martha back to America in 1814 and landed at NY. They traveled immediately to Philadelphia where they settled. Nathan Sr. had a brother, John who was already in NY and was president of the Fulton Bank of New York City.

He was the son of George Graham Armistead and Jane Forsyth.3 Abraham Degberry Hunt Armistead married Martha Eldridge, daughter of Thomas Dillon Eldridge and Martha Adams, before 1880.      Eldridge Armistead was born on 31 October 1883 in Mississippi.2,3,4 He was the son of Abraham Degberry Hunt Armistead and Martha Eldridge. Eldridge Armistead married Rowena Pate before 1917.5 Eldridge Armistead died in April 1982 in Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee, at age 98.3

     George Crockett Adams was born in 1834.1 He was the son of Thomas Patton Adams and Anne Tennant.1 George Crockett Adams died in 1860 in Pulaski, Giles County, Tennessee.1
     He appeared on the 1850 Federal census of Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee, enumerated 6 September 1850 He was living in the household of David Park, cotton broker.2 He never married.

     Ellen Mathewson was born in February 1830 in Strabane, Tyrone County, Ireland.1,2 She was the daughter of Samuel Mathewson and Elizabeth Adams.1 Ellen Mathewson died on 24 May 1920 at age 90.1,2
     She immigrated on the Regalia, departing from Derry, arriving 10 July 1833 in Montreal, Lower Canada, Colony of Canada, now Quebec, with her parents Samuel Mathewson and Elizabeth Adams.2

     James Adams Mathewson was born on 21 September 1822 in Strabane, Tyrone County, Ireland.1 He was the son of Samuel Mathewson and Elizabeth Adams.1 James Adams Mathewson married Amelia Seabury Black on 10 August 1847 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.2,1,3 James Adams Mathewson died on 3 April 1905 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, at age 82.2,1,3
     He immigrated on the Regalia, departing from Derry, arriving 10 July 1833 in Montreal, Lower Canada, Colony of Canada, now Quebec, with his parents Samuel Mathewson and Elizabeth Adams.3
