     William Brown was born on 29 November 1593 in Rusper, Sussex, England. He was the son of Joseph and Margery (Patching) Browne.1 He married Jane Mills on 20 June 1611 in Rusper, Sussex, England. William Brown died circa 1650 in Nassau, Province of New York, now Queens County.1
     William Brown and Jane Mills immigrated in 1641. Their daughter Phoebe traveled with them. Her husband (who died during the voyage) and their three small children were also in the party.2
