     John Towne was elected in 1700 in Framingham, Province of Massachusetts Bay, When Framingham was founded in 1700, he was elected Selectman.3 He was elected on 22 July 1713 in Oxford, Province of Massachusetts Bay, He moved to Oxford and at the first towm meeting held there, was elected Town Clerk and Selectman.3
