     Norman Fox was born on 17 September 1792 in Hoosick Falls, Rensselaer County, New York.^2,3,4 He was the son of Jehial Fox and Jerusha Baldwin. Norman Fox married as his first wife Jane DeHart Freeman, daughter of William Freeman and Betsy Cheesbrough, on 23 February 1831.^2,3 Norman Fox married as his second wife Mary Ann Chapman on 8 August 1854.^2,3 Norman Fox died on 3 October 1863 in Painted Post, Steuben County, New York, at age 71.^2,3 He was buried in Painted Post, Steuben County, New York.^2,3
     He served in the war of 1812 as an ensign in one of the regiments from Essex County. He later served in the New York Legislature, then as a Baptist minister.³ Military service included Private in militia, marched to the relief of Plattsburg. Later promoted to Lt. Colonel. in 1814.² He was elected in 1819 New York State Assembly (also 1820, 1826, 1830.² He appeared on the 1850 Federal census of Milton, Saratoga County, New York, enumerated 13 September 1850. His children Adaline Sophia, Alanson Jehiel, Norman, Charles James, Mary Elizabeth, George Henry and William Freeman were listed as living with him.⁵ Norman Fox and Mary Ann Chapman appeared on the 1860 Federal census of Erwin, Steuben County, New York, enumerated 13 July 1860 along with daughter-in-law Abigail Hale. Their children Alanson Jehiel, William Freeman, Mary Elizabeth, George Henry and Charles James were listed as living with them.⁶

     Selina Fox was born after 1792. She was the daughter of Jehial Fox and Jerusha Baldwin.³ Selina Fox married Joseph Dean.³ She died in 1861 in Painted Post, Steuben County, New York, at the house of her brother Norman.^2,3

     Sophia Fox was born after 1792. She was the daughter of Jehial Fox and Jerusha Baldwin.³ Sophia Fox married Dr. Benjamin Dean.^2,3 Sophia Fox died on 17 November 1853 in New York, New York County, New York, at the home of her sister Selina, of consumption.^2,3
