Allen Fox1,2

     Allen Fox was baptized on 1 July 1755.1 He was born on 1 July 1755 in Millington, East Haddam, Connecticut Colony, now Middlesex County.1,3,2 He was the son of Daniel Fox and Hannah Burr.4,2 Allen Fox married Chloe Crittenden on 6 November 1783.5,3 Allen Fox died on 17 September 1831 in Delaware County, New York, at age 76.5,3 He was buried in Old Coventry Cemetery, North Kortright, Delaware County, New York.5
     Allen enlisted 1775 in the first call for troops. He served in the campaign against Ticonderoga and Crown Point. He re-enlisted after his first year in the Seventh Connecticut Line and was present at Germantown, Valley Forge, Monmouth and Stony Point. in 1783 he transferred to the Second Connecticut Line and was mustered out at West Point in June 1783 by Gen. George Washington.5,4

Ansel Fox1

     Ansel Fox was born on 16 February 1759 in Millington, East Haddam, Connecticut Colony, now Middlesex County.1,2 He was the son of Daniel Fox and Hannah Burr.3 Ansel Fox was baptized on 22 April 1759. He died on 28 June 1778 in Battle of Monmouth at age 19 by grapeshot which struck him in the groin. He had previously served in the American army under Gen. Benedict Arnold during which he was wounded in the chest but survived and re-enlisted.1,3

Jehial Fox1,2

     Jehial Fox was born on 21 August 1762 in Millington, East Haddam, Connecticut Colony, now Middlesex County.1,3,4,2 He was the son of Daniel Fox and Elizabeth Gates.4,2 Jehial Fox was baptized on 26 September 1762.1 He married Jerusha Baldwin, daughter of Hezekiah Baldwin, circa 1786 in Canaan, Columbia County, New York.4 Jehial Fox died on 25 July 1823 in Chester, Orange County, New York, at age 60.3,5
     Jehial was also known as Heil.2 Military service included Revolutionary War service: He joined a militia regiment at the age of 16 and marched to the relief of New London, CT. At Caanan, NY, he enlisted as a private in the 17th regiment of Albany County Militia in Capt. Elijah Bostwick's Co. on the payroll of which he is mentioned as "Heil Fox." circa 1778.3 He and Jerusha Baldwin moved to Hoosick Falls, Rensselaer County, New York, in 1788.4 Jehial Fox was a Baptist Preacher. He also taught school and managed a store and saw mill.3 He and Jerusha Baldwin moved to Chester, Orange County, New York, in April 1797.4
