"The Howe Genealogy" reports the hypothesis that John was the son of John How of Hodinhull (now Hodnet), Warwickshire, England.2 He married Mary (?) in 1640 in Marlboro, Massachusetts Bay Colony, now Middlesex County.1,2 John Howe died on 28 May 1680 in Marlboro, Massachusetts Bay Colony.3,2,4
     He lived in Sudbury, Massachusetts Bay Colony, now Middlesex County, in 1638/39.2 He became a freeman on 13 May 1640 in Massachusetts Bay Colony.2 He was a selectman in Sudbury, Massachusetts Bay Colony, now Middlesex County, in 1642.2 He lived in Marlboro, Massachusetts Bay Colony, in 1656 (he applied for land and was one of the first settlers).2 He left a will on 24 May 1680 in Marlboro, Massachusetts Bay Colony.2 His estate was inventoried on 5 June 1680.2 His will was proved/probated on 19 June 1689 in Marlboro, Massachusetts Bay Colony, according to the "History of Framingham."2
