Robert Stockton1

b. circa 1688, d. 1747
Robert Stockton was born circa 1688 in Armagh, Ireland. Many on-line lineages show this Robert Stockton as the descendent of Richard Stockton of New Jersey (Richard(2)/Richard(1)). Based on the data in The Stockton Family, this seems to not be true. The dates and places are more consistent with separate origins as is presented here. The Stockton Family hypothecizes that this Robert was the brother of Davis Stockton who also settled in Lancaster County, PA.1 He married Isabel (?) circa 1707 in Ireland 7 other children.1 Robert Stockton died in 1747 in Province of Pennsylvania.1 He was buried in 1747 in Pequa Church, Lancaster, Province of Pennsylvania.1,2
