     Ida Adelia Sawyer was born on 15 March 1867 in Center Point, Sevier County, Arkansas, now Howard County. She was born in a covered wagon camped near the town "while her parents were on an adventurous trip to Texas, seeking their fortune."1 She was the daughter of Francis Marion Sawyer and Hannah Elizabeth Bissell.1 Ida Adelia Sawyer married Thomas Kinney, son of John Kinney and Mary Parrott, on 16 June 1895.1 Ida Adelia Sawyer died on 29 October 1911 in Nokomis, Montgomery County, Illinois, at age 44.1

John Kinney1

b. 21 February 1837, d. 1916
     John Kinney was born on 21 February 1837 in Buttevant, County Cork, Ireland.1 He married Mary Parrott, daughter of Thomas Parrott, on 3 May 1863 in St. Patrick's Church, St. Louis, St. Louis County, Missouri.1 John Kinney died in 1916 in Nokomis, Montgomery County, Illinois.1
     He immigrated , departing from Ireland circa 1853. He immigrated with his brother Patrick, but lost contact with him when they landed.1 He and Mary Parrott appeared on the 1870 Federal census of Nokomis, Montgomery County, Illinois, enumerated 20 July 1870.
