     Jonathan Hyde was born circa 1626 in England.1,2 He married Mary French, daughter of Lt. William French and Elizabeth Godfrey, in 1650.1,3 Jonathan Hyde married Mary Rediat on 8 January 1673/74 in Cambridge, Massachusetts Bay Colony.3 Jonathan Hyde died on 11 October 1711 in Newton, Province of Massachusetts Bay.1,2
     He immigrated on the Jonathan, departing from London, arriving April 1639 in Boston, Massachusetts Bay Colony. His older brother Samuel who settled in Newton traveled on the same ship.3,2 He became a freeman on 27 May 1663.3
