     Olive Cole Grabill was born on 23 September 1907 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.^1,3,2 She was the daughter of Ethelbert Vincent Grabill and Annie Elizabeth Ziegler.² Olive Cole Grabill married Robert Kenneth Carr on 25 August 1933.² Olive Cole Grabill died on 8 January 2003 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, at age 95.^4,2 She was buried in Westwood Cemetery, Oberlin, Lorain County, Ohio.²

     He graduated from Dartmouth College, Hanover, Grafton County, New Hampshire, in 1929 with an A. B.³ He received an A. M. from Harvard University, Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, in 1930 and a PhD in 1935.³ From 1931-1937 Carr taught at the University of Oklahoma at Norman.
