     Mehitabel Clark was born on 2 December 1798 in District of Maine, Massachusetts.^1,3 She was the daughter of David Clark and Mehitable Littlefield. Mehitabel Clark married Remick Cole , son of Samuel Cole and Hannah Shackley, after 1831.² Mehitabel Clark died on 12 May 1891 at age 92.¹
     She and Remick Cole appeared on the 1850 Federal census of Hollis, York County, Maine, enumerated 28 September 1850.³ Mehitabel Clark and Remick Cole appeared on the 1860 Federal census of Dayton, York County, Maine, enumerated 1 June 1860. Their children Eliza Durant, Clark Remick and Owen were listed as living with them.² Mehitabel Clark and Remick Cole appeared on the 1870 Federal census of Dayton, York County, Maine, enumerated 7 July 1870. Their son Owen was listed as living with them, along with Owen's wife Elsie A. Hill and their children Fred Remick and Frank Owen.⁴ Mehitabel Clark appeared on the 1880 Federal census of Hollis, in York County, Maine, in the household of her son and daughter-in-law Owen Cole and Elsie A. Hill.⁵

     Sarah's birth date is unknown. She married Remick Cole, son of Samuel Cole and Hannah Shackley, before 1831. Sarah Powers died on 12 March 1831.¹

     Sarah Willard Cole was born on 12 February 1834 in Maine.^1,2 She was the daughter of Remick Cole and Mehitabel Clark.³ Sarah Willard Cole married Charles Smith on 16 November 1858.¹ Sarah Willard Cole died in October 1928 at age 94.¹

She and Charles Smith appeared on the 1860 Federal census of Kennebunk, York County, Maine, enumerated 1 June 1860 Sophia Smith (47) and Hannah Welch (14) were living with them..⁴ Sarah Willard Cole and Charles Smith appeared on the 1870 Federal census of Kennebunk, York County, Maine, enumerated 2 June 1870. Their children Adelia and Mary Kimball were listed as living with them.⁵ Sarah Willard Cole and Charles Smith appeared on the 1880 Federal census of Kennebunk, York County, Maine, enumerated 19 June 1880. Their daughter Adelia was listed as living with them.⁶ Sarah Willard Cole appeared on the 1900 Federal census of Kennebunk, York County, Maine, enumerated 6 June 1900. Her daughter Adelia was listed as living with her.⁷ Sarah Willard Cole appeared on the 1910 Federal census of Wells, York County, Maine, enumerated 3 May 1910.⁸

     Olive Powers Cole was born on 11 August 1838 in Maine.² She was the daughter of Remick Cole and Mehitabel Clark.¹ Olive Powers Cole died on 5 August 1856 in Portland, Cumberland County, Maine, at age 17.^1,3

     Clark Remick Cole was born on 1 January 1841 in Maine.^1,3 He was the son of Remick Cole and Mehitabel Clark.² Clark Remick Cole married Mary F. Weymouth before 1867.⁴ Clark Remick Cole died in 1917.¹
     He appeared on the 1860 Federal census of Dayton, York County, Maine, in the household of his parents Remick Cole and Mehitabel Clark.² Clark Remick Cole and Mary F. Weymouth appeared on the 1870 Federal census of Dayton, York County, Maine, enumerated 7 July 1870. Their children Warren F. and Willard G. were listed as living with them. He was living in the same area as his parents - they are on the same census page.⁴ Clark Remick Cole and Mary F. Weymouth appeared on the 1900 Federal census of Dayton, York County, Maine, enumerated 6 June 1900. Their children Winifred Leugh and Weymouth Harris were listed as living with them.⁵ Clark Remick Cole and Mary F. Weymouth appeared on the 1910 Federal census of Dayton, York County, Maine, enumerated 18 April 1910. Their children Weymouth Harris were listed as living with them. Their daughter-in-law Edith Bell Waterhouse and two grandchildren Robert Weymouth Cole and Charlotte Cole were living with them.⁶

     Owen Cole was born on 28 March 1843 in Maine.^1,3 He was the son of Remick Cole and Mehitabel Clark.² Owen Cole married Elsie A. Hill before 1867.² Owen Cole died on 11 February 1903 at age 59.¹

Along with his mother Mehitabel Clark.⁵ Owen Cole and Elsie A. Hill appeared on the 1900 Federal census of Dayton, York County, Maine, enumerated 1 June 1900. Their children Frank Owen and Hettie were listed as living with them.⁶

     Charles Smith was born on 30 May 1821 in Kennebunk, York County, Maine.^1,2 He married Sarah Willard Cole, daughter of Remick Cole and Mehitabel Clark, on 16 November 1858.¹ Charles Smith died on 3 February 1899 at age 77.¹

     Mary Kimball Smith was born on 13 July 1862 in Maine.^1,2 She was the daughter of Charles Smith and Sarah Willard Cole.² Mary Kimball Smith married Edward Gordon Herdman in 1890.^3,2 Mary Kimball Smith died in 1935.^1,2

     Eleazar Clark was born on 31 December 1699 in Wells, Province of Massachusetts Bay, now Maine.^1,2 He was the son of Nathaniel Clark and Patience Wells.² Eleazar Clark married Elizabeth Thompson, daughter of John Thompson and Sarah Woodman, on 6 July 1727 in Oyster River, Province of New Hampshire, now Durham, Strafford County.^1,2 Eleazar Clark died after 1755 in Province of Massachusetts Bay, now Maine.³

     Elizabeth Thompson was born circa 1700 in Oyster River, Province of New Hampshire, now Durham, Strafford County.² She was the daughter of John Thompson and Sarah Woodman.² Elizabeth Thompson married Eleazar Clark, son of Nathaniel Clark and Patience Wells, on 6 July 1727 in Oyster River, Province of New Hampshire, now Durham, Strafford County.^1,2 Her death date has not been found.

     John Thompson was born circa 1659 in Dover, Province of New Hampshire, now Strafford County.² He was the son of William Thompson and Mary White.² John Thompson married Sarah Woodman, daughter of John Woodman and Mary Field, between 1678 and 1680.² John Thompson died before 24 July 1734 in Oyster River, Province of New Hampshire, now Durham, Strafford County.²
     He left a will on 12 April 1733.² His will was proved/probated on 24 July 1734.²

     Sarah Woodman was born in 1663 in Oyster River, Province of New Hampshire, now Durham, Strafford County.^2,3 She was the daughter of John Woodman and Mary Field.² Sarah Woodman married John Thompson, son of William Thompson and Mary White, between 1678 and 1680.¹ Sarah Woodman died after 1700.

     Eleazar Clark was born on 13 November 1728 in Wells, Province of Massachusetts Bay, now Maine.^1,2 He was the son of Eleazar Clark and Elizabeth Thompson. Eleazar Clark married Mary Gilpatrick, daughter of John Gilpatrick and Elizabeth Ross, on 17 November 1756 in Wells, Province of Massachusetts Bay, now Maine, probably.^3,2 Eleazar Clark died in January 1820 in Kennebunk, York County, Maine, at age 91.^1,2
     He was a farmer and millman.¹

     Joseph Clark was born on 29 November 1731 in Wells, Province of Massachusetts Bay, now Maine.^1,2 He was the son of Eleazar Clark and Elizabeth Thompson. Joseph Clark died on 11 March 1739/40 in Wells, Province of Massachusetts Bay, now Maine, at age 8.^1,2

     Joshua Clark was born on 12 August 1733 in Wells, Province of Massachusetts Bay, now Maine.^1,2 He was the son of Eleazar Clark and Elizabeth Thompson. Joshua Clark married Sarah Boothby, daughter of Henry Boothby and Sarah Trafton, on 3 March 1756.² Joshua Clark died before 1795 in Wells, District of Maine, Massachusetts.²

Elizabeth Clark married John Gilpatrick, son of John Gilpatrick and Elizabeth Ross, on 27 February 1755 in Wells, Province of Massachusetts Bay, now Maine.² Her death date has not been found.

     John Gilpatrick was born circa 1735 in Wells, Province of Massachusetts Bay, now Maine.² He was the son of John Gilpatrick and Elizabeth Ross.² John Gilpatrick married Elizabeth Clark, daughter of Eleazar Clark and Elizabeth Thompson, on 27 February 1755 in Wells, Province of Massachusetts Bay, now Maine.² His death date has not been found.

     Johnathan Clark was born on 4 May 1737 in Wells, Province of Massachusetts Bay, now Maine.^1,2 He was the son of Eleazar Clark and Elizabeth Thompson. Johnathan Clark married Mary Wheelwright on 30 December 1759 in Wells, Province of Massachusetts Bay, now Maine.² Johnathan Clark died in 1796 in Wells, District of Maine, Massachusetts.²

     Josiah Clark was born on 26 October 1741 in Wells, Province of Massachusetts Bay, now Maine.^1,2 He was the son of Eleazar Clark and Elizabeth Thompson. Josiah Clark married Prudence Boothby, daughter of Henry Boothby and Sarah Trafton, in 1774 in Wells, Province of Massachusetts Bay, now Maine.² Josiah Clark died on 6 November 1819 in District of Maine, Massachusetts, at age 78.²
