Her birthdate is calculated from an age of 94 years and 10 days at her death.2,1 She was the daughter of Thomas Kent and Sarah Humphrey.3,2 Mary White Kent married Aaron Hale, son of John Hale and Lydia Tillotson, on 24 October 1819 in Hollis, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire.2 Mary White Kent died on 5 December 1892 in Orford, Grafton County, New Hampshire, at age 94. Her death record says she was living in Cambridge, MA at the time of her death, so she was probably in Orford for a visit. Her cause of death was listed as "gradual failure of the powers of life."1,2
     She and Aaron Hale appeared on the 1850 Federal census of Orford, Grafton County, New Hampshire, enumerated 21 September 1850.4 Mary White Kent and Aaron Hale appeared on the 1860 Federal census of Orford, Grafton County, New Hampshire, enumerated 13 July 1860. Their children Thomas Kent and Edwin Blaisdell were listed as living with them.5 Mary White Kent appeared on the 1870 Federal census of Orford, Grafton County, New Hampshire, enumerated 21 June 1870 in the household of Daniel Tillotson Hale and Elizabeth Hazleton.6 Mary White Kent appeared on the 1880 Federal census of Cambridge, in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, enumerated 12 June 1880 in the household of Moses Emery Cushman and Rebekah Hale.7
