     Edward Bangs was born on 28 October 1591 in Panfield, Essex, England.² He was the son of John Bangs and Jane Chavis.³ Edward Bangs married as his first wife Lydia Hicks, daughter of Robert Hicks and Margaret (?), in 1628/29.² Edward Bangs married as his second wife Rebecca Hobart, daughter of Edmund Hobart and Margaret Dewey, in 1635 in Plymouth, Plymouth Colony, now Plymouth County, Massachusetts.² Edward Bangs died in February 1677/78 in Eastham, Plymouth Colony, now Barnstable County, Massachusetts, at age 86.²

They had nine children.^3,4 She died in 1691 in Oyster Bay, Province of New York, now Nassau County.⁶

     Phoebe Shaw was born in February 1657/58 in Plymouth Colony, now Massachusetts.¹ She was the daughter of Deacon Johnathan Shaw and Phoebe Watson. Phoebe Shaw married John Morton say 1682 in Lakenham, Plymouth Colony, now Carver, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.¹ Phoebe Shaw died on 11 June 1686 in Middleboro, Plymouth Colony, now Massachusetts, at age 28.¹
